split-ring wheel technology at its finest. i have gotten to be around those wheels, and tires when they are getting serviced, and one of my older, wiser, friends let me know that what happened in the video was not too uncommon. have heard lots of stories from the “olds” of seeing people pretty much get their head taken off, or an arm broken with those old wheels.........

sometimes on those older wheels the mating faces of the ring and the wheel will rust, and make them even harder to seat. and even rings that are seated, when rusted will let go...... guy was real lucky the ring was faced down.....
